Montie Froehlich is the owner and primary instructor at Jacksonville Sailing School. I have thousands of miles of sailing experience and holds a fifty ton Masters license with the United States Coast Guard. A certified American Sailing Association Instructor, he has taught both beginning and advanced sailing courses for many years.

The American Sailing Association's program is simply the best available. Their curriculum and material is well written and practical in every regard. If you are inclined to daysail on the bay, or want to cruise the oceans of the world, I can show you how. At Jacksonville Sailing School we do not cut corners. You will not get the "rubber stamp" treatment. You will be required to study well and work hard in order to get CERTIFIED. At the end of our time together you will have earned the privilege to be "Captain of your own ship."
When the sails are raised to a fair wind, the ship heels to her lines, and you hear the sounds of the wind and wave working together you will only then discover the freedom of sail!
